There were kids everywhere

because they didn’t go to school.

“Get out of my closet!” Nancie yelled.

They answered, “That sounds like a rule.”

Princess Nancie rang for her supper,

but the kitchen said, “No!

You can’t make us cook.

I think we will go.”

The kitchen staff left.

The butlers did, too.

And poor Princess Nancie,

she didn’t know what to do.

The kingdom was in chaos.

The whole place was crazy.

There was trash everywhere,

and the people were lazy.

Princess Nancie walked out to her balcony.

She called out,“My people listen to me.

Things around here have gotten awful nuts.

We have got to have rules, but with a few cuts.”
